Frequent asked questions

What’s included in my ticket?

There are 4 types of tickets:
- 3-day in-person ticket workshop and conference – May 30, 31 and June 1
- 2-day in-person ticket conference – May 31 and June 1
- 2-day online ticket conference – May 31 and June 1
- 1-day in-person ticket workshop or conference – May 30/May 31/June 1

With a 3 day in-person ticket, you get access to the in-person event in Breda, The Netherlands and all in person and online Festival activities. This means a workshop of choice on May 30 and the talks, Q&As, networking and other activities on May 31 and June 1. With a 2 day in-person ticket, you have equal access except for a workshop of choice on May 30. With a 2-day online ticket, you’ll have access to the live stream of the in-person event on May 31 and Jun 1 and to all online Festival activities. With a 1-day in-person ticket, you get access to either a workshop of choice on May 30 or conference activities on May 31 or June 1.

All ticket holders get access to the recordings of the talks and Q&As after the event.

Which workshop(s) can I participate in?

Workshops are accessible to participants with a 3-day in-person ticket. You have to select the workshop you would like to participate in at your registration. All workshops have limited spots available. An overview of the workshops offered you'll find in our program overview .

Are the talks recorded/slides shared?

All talks and Q&As are live. The talks and Q&As will be recorded during the conference. With all tickets, you'll get access to the recordings for the entire year. We will share respective speakers' slides if we have permission to do so.

The recordings will be captioned and available the week after the event.

The workshops are participation oriented and focused on taking action. These are not recorded to make sure everyone feels safe and secure to do so.

Can I share my ticket with a colleague?

Your ticket is personal. If a colleague also wants to join the conference, please buy a separate ticket so you can both enjoy all activities and benefit from networking opportunities.

We offer groups of 4 or more a discount of 20% (does not apply to early bird tickets). Also, we provide alternate pricing for countries with extreme currency differences to the euro, students and people currently without a job.

What does the program of the conference look like?

The program contains workshops, talks, live Q&As, opportunities to meet and engage with your fellow researchers and more. Check out the full program here.

The main program takes place on May 30 between 14.00 - 17.00 Central European Summer Time (CEST). And on May 31 and Jun 1 between 9:00 and 18:00 CEST. Convert starting times to your time zone for May 30 and May 31 and June 1.

How can I connect with other researchers during the conference?

To most of us, a significant benefit of visiting a conference is the possibility to connect with other researchers. We took this as the basis of the Festival.

What is the location of the conference and how do I get there?

We are excited to welcome you finally in person in the Netherlands! You'll enjoy the in-person activities at the largest theatre in the south of the Netherlands - Chassé Theatre in Breda (1 hour away from Amsterdam). The theatre is beautifully situated in the city centre, easily accessible, and has ample parking space.

How do I access the online Festival?

The online platform for the Festival is Hopin. You have to create a Hopin account or use your existing account. You register once and can use your account to log in to the entire Festival. You'll get a personal link one working day in advance to log in.

What about the accessibility of the event?

Recently, we have taken several steps to improve the accessibility of our website. These changes will be ongoing as we continue to learn.
All talks and Q&As will have live captions in English during the event. The recordings of the talks and live Q&A will have captions when shared afterwards.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept payment by Invoice, Bank Transfer, Credit Card, iDEAL and Paypal.

Please note that the limit for a Credit Card payment is €2000,-. If you exceed this amount, please divide your order into multiple orders.

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

We don't offer refunds, but you can transfer the ticket to someone else. Please send your request to transfer your ticket to info@uxinsight.org. Ticket transfers are possible until 24 hours before the Festival starts.

What if I buy an in-person ticket and cannot join due to Covid-19 regulations?

If you cannot join the conference in person due to government regulations, we'll change your in-person ticket to an online ticket, and you can join us via a live stream and get access to all recordings after the event. You may claim a refund for the price difference between an in-person and an online ticket.

If you cannot join the conference in person due to reasons outside of government regulations, we'll change your in-person ticket to an online ticket. You can join us via a live stream and access all recordings after the event. There will be no refund for the price difference between an in-person and an online ticket.

If the in-person event cannot take place due to (unforeseen) circumstances (e.g., government regulations), we'll move the conference entirely online. We'll change your in-person ticket to an online ticket, and you can join us via a live stream and get access to all recordings after the event. You may claim a refund for the price difference between an in-person and an online ticket.

Please check the terms and conditions of your airline and hotel. Many show extra courtesy in light of special (Covid) regulations, but make sure you know what your options are upfront.
