Managing what we know: Lessons from the Atlassian Research Library

Being able to find relevant existing research content quickly helps us respond promptly to stakeholder requests, share relevant research, and scope new research projects.

This webinar will provide you with realistic and achievable ways of getting started with managing your existing research content. Drawing on the foundations underpinning the success of the Atlassian Research Library, you will learn how to organise and describe your research content so you can easily discover all your existing research on any topic.

The webinar will also cover how employing an information professional, now or in the future, will greatly increase the impact of your team’s research across your organisation.

“The value of UX Research lies in what we know” – Alison

About this session

Our mission is to help the UXR community grow by identifying challenges in the current practice and initiating discussions.

This time, we're excited to explore the world of research repositories with you.

We’ve noticed that many organisations struggle with sharing research insights throughout the organisation. Research repositories are often a hot topic during our knowledge-sharing and networking sessions with UXR peers.

In  two Think Tank sessions, we want to explore the world of research repositories more deeply. This session is the second one. The first session, that took place on October 8, we explored LinkedIn’s journey towards an AI-based repository 🤩.

Join us for insights and inspiration!

Guest speaker

  • Alison Jones - Lead Research Librarian

Alison Jones is the Lead Research Librarian at Atlassian. In this role, she supports all Atlassians in using the Atlassian Research Library. The library records research content produced by the Research and Insights Team and is widely used across the organisation.

Before joining Atlassian, Alison worked in law and government libraries. She specialised in developing new library and knowledge services aligned with the needs and culture of each organisation. The support services she implemented for these new library services saw them successfully adopted.

Beyond work, Alison is an avid reader (it goes with the profession!), gardener and walker of the family dog.
