Elisa Maira is Staff UX Researcher at bol, where she leads strategic research initiatives that inform product direction and shape the consumer experience across the platform. She has 14 years of research experience across academia and industry and holds a PhD in Consumer Research. Her work focuses on grounding product decisions in real customer needs and behaviors, supporting both product teams and product leadership with evidence to guide priorities and long-term strategy. Accessibility research is one of her focus areas.

Niels-Peter Foppen is working as Design Manager at bol, where he helps shape the shopping experience by focusing on the platform’s Design System, enabling consistency, scalability, and inclusivity across product teams and touchpoints.

As an advocate for digital accessibility, Niels-Peter actively promotes inclusive design practices and works to embed accessibility into the shop’s design system. Accessibility is not an afterthought but a shared responsibility, and he actively raises awareness among colleagues and stakeholders.

Veron Wormeester is an expert in inclusive research at Stichting Accessibility. His drive is to make products and services genuinely usable for everyone. In his work, he collaborates with end users to identify accessibility issues and helps organizations translate these findings into meaningful improvements. He’s passionate about growing and sharing knowledge about inclusive research with fellow researchers.
