What we value
At UXinsight, it is important to us that everyone who engages with our work feels safe, welcome, and respected.
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone involved in UXinsight activities and services, including but not limited to participants, speakers, sponsors, authors, guests, volunteers, partners, contractors, and team members. It applies to all interactions related to UXinsight, whether in person, online, or through our (social) platforms and media.
We are committed to treating all individuals respectfully, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, neurodivergence, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief (or lack thereof), socio-economic status, caregiving responsibilities, or technology choices.
Expected behaviour
We all thrive in a welcoming, respectful, and collaborative environment. We expect everyone to:
- Be considerate and respectful towards others
- Engage in a constructive and professional manner, even when opinions differ
- Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour, materials, or speech
- Speak up or report concerns if they observe behaviour that conflicts with this Code of Conduct
Speaking up does not require confronting someone directly. You can report concerns however feels safest to you.
Unacceptable behaviour
We do not tolerate harassment or exclusion in any form during our activities and services or on our (social) platforms.
Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to:
- Offensive verbal comments related to protected characteristics such as gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, neurodivergence, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, socio-economic status, caregiving responsibilities, or technology choices
- Sexual images or sexualised content in public spaces
- Intimidation, threats, or deliberate humiliation
- Following or stalking
- Sustained or deliberate disruption of talks, events, or activities
- Inappropriate physical contact
- Unwelcome sexual attention
Consequences of unacceptable behaviour
Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. If someone engages in behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, UXinsight may take appropriate action. This can include a warning, removal from an activity, or being required to leave an event or activity without a refund, depending on the severity and context.
Report a violation
If someone is harassing you, if you notice someone else being harassed, or if you have any other concerns, please report it.

- Submitting a report via our anonymous reporting form
Reports are handled by Debbie, our event manager, or by Karin, the owner of UXinsight.
All reports will be handled confidentially and with care. Information will be shared only on a need-to-know basis to address the situation appropriately.
UXinsight does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern or reports a violation of this Code of Conduct.
