About the venue

The Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden

The Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden is a monumental concert hall right in the heart of the city. Built in the 19th century, it combines classic charm with modern facilities, and is a popular stage for cultural events, conferences, and festivals. With its welcoming atmosphere, it’s a great fit for the UXinsight Festival!

Getting to the venue

The Stadsgehoorzaal is located at Breestraat 60, 2311 CS, Leiden.

  • Parking

    You can park your car at P+R Haagweg or at one of the other parking garages in Leiden. The Stadsgehoorzaal offers exit tickets for P+R Haagweg only (€11/day).

    From the P+R Haagweg, it’s only a 10-minute walk to the venue, or you can hop on a free shuttle bus that runs every few minutes and drops you right at the entrance.

    Tip: Some parking garages allow you to reserve a spot online in advance. Check the garage’s website to see if this option is available before you arrive.

  • Accessible parking

    A limited number of parking spaces for visitors with disabilities are available. To reserve a spot or to learn more, please contact us at info@uxinsight.org.

  • Public transport

    Leiden is very easy to reach by train. Leiden Central Station has direct connections to Amsterdam Central, Schiphol Airport, The Hague, and Rotterdam.

    From Leiden Central Station, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the venue.

Festival and some practical tips

When you arrive at the Stadsgehoorzaal, we want your experience to be smooth from the very start. Below you will find everything you need to know about check-in, facilities, and what’s available onsite during UXinsight Festival 2026.

  • Registration and badges

    First thing you should do is go up to the team at the registration desk and check in to receive your badge. Please wear your badge on each day of the festival you are attending.

  • WiFi access

    Free WiFi will be available throughout the venue. Login details will be provided at the location.

  • Pause area at the venue

    A dedicated pause area is available if you need a quiet moment to recharge during the festival.

    This space is intended for rest and reflection, so we kindly ask that it not be used for phone calls or meetings.

  • Cloakroom

    There is a coat check in the foyer where the registration desk is located. You can leave your coats, jackets, and bags there .

  • Food & drinks during the festival

    Enjoy coffee, tea, and snacks during the breaks, a tasty lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, and join us every afternoon for a cosy borrel (Dutch-style drinks and bites).

  • Allergies & dietary requirements

    If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when registering.

Accessibility at Stadsgehoorzaal

  • Wheelchair accessibility

    The Stadsgehoorzaal is fully wheelchair accessible, with step-free access at the main entrance.

    • Elevators connect all floors, making every hall and foyer accessible. Therefore, all the halls used by UXinsight Festival are wheelchair accessible.
    • Accessible toilets are available on the ground floor and upper levels.
    • The stage and backstage areas are also wheelchair accessible.
  • Hearing impaired

    As assistive system is available for the hearing impaired participants. If you would like to learn more about this, contact us at info@uxinsight.org.

  • Private rooms

    There are designated rooms available for breastfeeding, praying, and other special requests.

    If you’d like to use these, please let us know in advance.

  • Guide dog

    An officially trained guide dog is allowed inside to accompany you.
