Join UXinsight Festival 2026 as a volunteer

Volunteering at UXinsight Festival isn’t just about helping out. It’s about being part of something special.

As a volunteer, you’ll:

• Join a warm and inclusive international UXR community
• Work alongside a friendly and experienced festival team
• Get a peek behind the scenes of a large-scale event
• Connect with speakers, attendees, and fellow volunteers
• Contribute to an event that celebrates and elevates UX research

We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable people who:

• Are experienced with (>3 years) and passionate about UX research
• Are available for program curation (October 22 – December 12) and during the conference days (April 20-22)
• Enjoy working in a team and helping others
• Are comfortable communicating in English
• Preferably live in the Netherlands, or in a similar timezone (+/- 2 hours)

We will evaluate applications based on:

• Your UX research experience
• Additional skills and expertise you bring to the team
• Your practical availability
• The diversity of perspectives you contribute
• Your motivation to join

Volunteering tasks are divided into three phases:

1. Reviewing speaker proposals
Reviewing the speaker proposals starting October 22 until December 12. Reviewing the proposals could take up to 2 hours each week. Note: this is an estimate.

2. Curation of the program
Attending online team meetings to align & brainstorm (program, setup). In 2025, there will be 5-9 meetings of about 1.5 hours held in the Amsterdam timezone. In 2026, there will be around 3 meetings before April 20.

3. Support during the Festival days
Being present on April 20-22 in-person & assisting with organisational tasks.

• Welcoming and guiding attendees
• Supporting speakers and sponsors
• Helping during Q&A
• Support the online experience
• Assisting with the setup of materials
• Etc.

In return for your time and energy, you’ll receive:

• Free acces to UXinsight Festival 2026 (including social events)
• 3-night stay in Leiden, the Netherlands, on April 19 – 21
• Being part of a cosy and diverse team of UX research professionals
• Lots of inspiration from the UX research field  
• Opportunity to contribute your experience to the UXR community and grow your CV
• Networking opportunities before, during and after the conference

🧡 Volunteers are the heart of UXinsight Festival. We couldn’t do it without you.

For practical reasons, we are looking for volunteers who preferably live in the Netherlands or in a similar timezone (+/- 2 hours). Travelling to Leiden in April 2026 is part of the volunteering. The volunteering meetings during the preparation phase will be via video call. Please note that we’ll provide you with 3 hotel nights (April 19-21), but travel costs are not reimbursed.

ou’ll get free access to the Full Festival. Depending on your tasks, you’ll be able to attend (some of) the talks. Like all attendees, you’ll get access to the recordings after the Festival.

We’ll arrange a 3-night hotel stay from April 19 – 21. Unfortunately, we’re unable to cover travel or other expenses.

We’re looking for volunteers who can be present on-site during the Festival days.
